Not my woes but still...

Normally, humans are known to adapt to changing times much more efficiently than to changing people (ok...its another one of my theories, and its valid!) I'm making the effort to empathize with the generation of parents that didn't quite know what hit them until it did (that happens to all of them, I guess, but these were particularly badly hit.)

They were born into nice, naive post-independence middle class families - minimum exposure to the Victorians or their way of life. Or any other, for that matter, besides their own. And then when they had their own kids, suddenly the world seemed to have started speaking a different language. Their kids too.

I understand it when they say they don't. They aren't naive - they just lived in a different world.
They cannot come to terms with having invested all their life's effort and emotions into a bunch of people that would grow up to demand their 'space'. The concept is alien to them. Its like a family full of prodigal sons (and daughters). Only these never return. And they don't even ask for money. They're taking away too much - even the right to crib and complain.

These kids seem to be making all their choices, and only informing when they deem necessary. And what's worse - these choices seem like utter blunders to one generation, while the other seems to be absolutely confident about them. There's no negotiating this.

Its easier to understand it, than to rationalize it. I'm trying to understand where they stand right now. I wish it made some sense to them.

‘I exist, therefore I exist’ – this would be first line in biography of word “change”..
yes, it is inevitable or it may be ‘giving place’ for challenge. How! In Bangalore, mostly the trees are running along with live wire poles (still, we couldn’t advance with underground cables…oops.. monsoon wedding will come!!!). when the tree grows, one fine day, the person comes and just chop the branches, just like when we used to go school, the master who is concern about my ‘hair growth’, he just wanted it to be thin blade of grass. So, the tree waits for given surrounding/ situation, how to grow!!.. take left side.. right side .. Options are limited, how railway tickets always says that ‘options are subject to availability’. The tree chooses the available path to grow. Is it change? Is it challenge! Is it options!... or is it ‘space’ for tree.. It happens by changing time.. well.. not only people change or human being / the whole universe exists, therefore it exists. How fast/better people, (let be father/ mother/ son/ daughter/ politicians/ artists/ atheist / theist/ all blah blahs) change their mindset.. The mind is set into 'proven' and safer method.. The experiments are rare, urekhas not heard very often.. taking risk and taking injuries are less. The society never takes risk, it want to be safe like yester year society, calm and so called peaceful. But in time, ‘individuals’ just knock down the society (many times not in first round.. first round win will be always to society.. the individuals keep fighting,) with their profound thoughts and imagination/ inventions. Then the whole society goes behind ‘that individual’ thought. It never sit down to think, why did he/she say.. it accepts or trusts in one man bibles / Gitas / or gospels. In time, to keep going with that individual thoughts the institutions take birth.. see all math, madaras, churchs… only this institutions are blood suckers in the world. They know people ‘trust’ in their religion/ religion barriers. But they want to ‘control’ them… (trust is fine, control is better’- Erika/ piano teacher). In the beginning of end, the change inevitable comes, one more individual breaks the institutions, free the society from mindset. As usual we never learn from history, which is written by winners.. (Its pun).. Only self enquiry, self experiments can change the world. Simply, the world is only ‘individual self’. After all, the world is ‘you’. When you are gone, what is left is same as before your arrival.

Rationalizing divides anythings..7=1+3+4/2+.5+.5, but understanding makes more simpler.. seven is equal to seven, you can bring seven in 100ways… interesting point is,
our understanding comes thru rationalized mind. Understanding becomes more subjective, rationalizing is visible objective. Choice of rationalizing is subject to your understanding.
It’s joy to sing with similar blues.
Cheers!
